Mick Herron was born in the English city of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, but it was in the city of Oxford where he really cut his teeth, earning a degree in English from Balliol College. Mick Herron's six Slough House novels have been shortlisted for eight CWA Daggers, winning twice, and shortlisted for the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year three times. Mick Herron is a novelist and short story writer whose books include the Sarah Tucker/Zoë Boehm series and the standalone novels RECONSTRUCTION, NOBODY WALKS. Using the skills he learnt at Balliol College, Herron wrote his first book, Down Cemetery Road, which is the first book in the Zoe Boehm and Sarah Tucker series of books, which was published in 2003.
