It would not surprise me if sqlite were doing fsyncs at strategic points to ensure db consistency. Firefox is being a constant cpu hogger, having a constant 20% usage, which means about 90% on one of my cores. Firefox vs. Konqueror. Competition breeds quality, and as a result, I find Qt applications in general to be inferior.
